Like so many island communities Los Roques is an independent place; a hundred miles from the urban intensity of Caracas, Los Roques feels a world away. To the angler the archipelago is all about bonefish. There are miles of pristine flats and beaches where flies can be tossed at huge schools of bones or the cruising pair working the beaches. Los Roques bones have a reputation for eating small baitfish but they also key on the usual crustaceans. This kit has flies that imitate baitfish, some that can be taken for either minnows or shrimp and unmistakable crustaceans patterns. |
