Deceivers

One of two questions could come to mind with our addition to Lefty's Deceivers to the S.S.Flies collection: "Why bother?" or "What took you so long?"

Available in virtually every fly shop why should S.S.Flies bother to add this to our collection? Because there's a lot of very poorly tied Deceivers in other fly shops and almost no Deceivers good or bad are tied with weed guards. We also think Deceivers should be beautiful too; we use the finest saddle hackles for the tails, carefully choose crinkled soft bucktail and use great peacock to top off the fly. With the addition of a thick fluorocarbon weed guard these flies can be cast deep into the mangroves for lurking snook, fished in the weeds for redfish or even dragged through weed lines for dorado or stripers.

It took us a while to add this to our collection because … Deceivers are available in virtually every fly shop. But we've had clients over the years ask us to stock these flies and custom tie them. It can't be denied; Lefty's Deceivers are great flies, effective for chasing all kinds of fish.
