This is one serious fly! Constructed of epoxy and synthetics on the substantial Gamakatsu SP113L-3H hook. It was originally developed to throw at barracuda. For years a huge version of this fly lurked in the Hunter's Angling Supply catalog, the SSFlies Needlefish is scaled down a bit (from 10" to 6") and comes in a new color (blue). This smaller size is easier to cast and more versatile then the larger fly; it still triggers ferocious barracuda strikes and has been very effective in more northern waters when tossed into a bluefish blow up. Try putting this pattern in front of any large aggressive fish.
